FIELD HOCKEY: THREE-PEAT! Delaware Captures Third Straight CAA Title in OT Thriller
HARRISONBURG, Va. (Nov. 8) – Freshman Lisa Giezeman scored the game-winning goal with 8:59 left in overtime as second-seeded Delaware captured its third straight CAA Field Hockey Championship, defeating top seed and tournament host James Madison, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at the JMU Field Hockey Complex. MEN’S SOCCER: Delgado’s Two Goals Lift Delaware to CAA Men’s Soccer Quarterfinal Victory Over UNCW
NEWARK, Del. (Nov. 7) The University of Delaware men’s soccer team is headed back to the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals. Thanks to two goals from All-American Guillermo Delgado, two assists from Thomas de Villardi, and the first career goal from Soren Frost, the No. 3 seed Blue Hens extended their unbeaten string to seven games with a 3-1 victory over No. 6 seed UNCW Saturday evening in the CAA quarterfinals at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium.  FULL STORY

WOMEN’S SOCCER: Delaware Freshman Riley Curtin Selected CAA Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va.  (September 7) —  University of Delaware freshman forward Riley Curtin (Hershey, Pa.), who earned her first career start and played a huge role in the Blue Hens’ dominating 6-1 victory over Brown on Sunday, has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday. COMMUNITY SERVICE: Blue Hen Student-Athletes, Staff Interact With Fans at Delaware State Fair
HARRINGTON, Del. – A great day was had by University of Delaware Athletics at the Delaware State Fair on Tuesday.  An estimated 30 student-athletes and spirit team members joined UD Athletics Department staff for a fun-filled day interacting with Blue Hens fans of all ages. Folks had the opportunity to get Movin’ with the Blue Hens from 4 to 6 p.m. under the Entertainment Tent free of charge. FULL STORY
