Cape Henlopen ends Salesianum’s 5th attempt for Boys Lacrosse Title

Willauer-Contributing Writer-For the first time since 2014, the Vikings of Cape Henlopen have reclaimed the 2019 Delaware Interscholastic Boys Lacrosse title as they ended the Sals of Salesianum’s hope for a 5th attempts on 3 goals by Jack Dennis, 2 each by Gabriel Best, Luke DiAmbrogi and Greg Boyce as they defeated the Sals by a 12-10 score. The last time these 2 schools met was at the Dave Reynolds Festival which was held at Wesley where Cape won by a 12-8 score.

The Sals were led by Christopher Wong with 3 goals, Logan Falconetti contributed with 2.

In the nets for Cape Baxter Travers registered 14 saves and for Salesianum Jake Machiafava registered 9 for the Sals.

This was Cape Henlopen’s 6th Boys Lacrosse Title overall and for Salesianum they have won 10 Boys Lacrosse Titles.
